My Mother in Law is 60+.

She was suffering from fever which ranges from 99 to 100. she still has fever. The Dr asked her to get her blood and urine tests done. Now the findings show that her esr level is 90 or so , uric acid level is also high and the ultra sound shows swelling in liver and pancrease. the Dr doubt of some infection.

Can some one tell us abt it. I mean what can be the problem...???

  • I don't really know anything about swelling of the pancreas- but the pancreas has to do with providing the right amount of insulin to the rest of the body to regulate sugars. If she has diabetes then that might be part of it, but definitely there is something more than that going on with her pancreas. Her liver swelling could be due to liver disease which could be because of fat infiltrating the liver or maybe some other liver disease like hepatitis. The swelling possibly could be from high blood pressure within the liver- I had this a few years ago. Mine is now better. I stopped eating fried foods and sweets and fatty foods. Also, spicy foods. I ate a very bland diet. Also, I stayed away from chemicals- medicines, perfumes etc. because those things go right to the blood stream and right through the liver and that would be too ******n it. I also used liver cleanse products that I trusted very much. And I found a Rife Machine that I could borrow from a friend and used it on a program for detox and for parasites almost everyday for four months. Also, I used small amounts of peppermint and other oils on my back and the bottoms of my feet almost everyday. Along with lots of rest and drinking lots of filtered water. Now, no liver disease is detected. It is highly recommended in many health books, to consume foods with plenty of onions, eat lemons/lemon juice, grapefruit, pears. You can look up whatever you like in highly recommended health books to see if you find anything that your mother-in-law can do to help her health problems.

  • It probably isn't lupus. Anyway, only her doctor can give her a diagnosis. But if you want to look into the symptoms of it, check out this link. http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/l/lupus/intro.htm http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/l/lupus/symptoms.htm
