I have a rash that started on my upper lip but it spread to the lower lip. I have white dots on my upper lip and what looks like acme around the top and bottom lip. The edge of the pink portion of the lip is red and lumpy. I have had it for 9 months or so and it gets better sum times but it comes back even worse. There is a slight burning sensation as well. I have gone to 5 Dr.s and tried every cream you can think of. The doctors say it is not herpes but they don’t know what it is. I had braces on my teeth when this started and they rubbed agents my upper lip in the place where this started, so I had them removed. My life has all but ended because of this and I’m thinking that slashing my wrist is the only solution. If any one knows any thing that mite HELP pleas let me know. Thank you.

  • It sounds like a chemical/metallic burn or allergy. It will pass. Calm down. Try some homeopathic burn products or aloe, good quality. The burning does suggest herpes 1, but it does go away and then comes back. Ask for the blood test to rule out herpes and then you can also settle down emotionally.

  • girl it started the same in my case...same symptoms and felt the same awful way. I never had a skin problem, I even worked for a make up line showing off my skin..Ironically this stupid bumps appeared all over the surrounding area of my lips and eyes... the name? perioral dermatitis. It is cronic, but smile!!! there is a cure for it, an antibiotic that you have to take for a while, make sure that when you start to take it you don't sop until the doctor tells you. Go in your bathroom and throw away all the stuff with SLS, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, change your toothpaste, and relax, because this is triggered by the sun and by stress. Smile there is cure for your problem!!
