Life after herpes

A couple of months after a herpes 2 diagnosis, I began to have these purple marks appear on my arm. I never had them before this exposure. I have been tested for HIV, Herpes 8 Kaposi's sarcoma and hepatis still negative after a couple of years--although I was only tested once for the kaposi at about 9 months after first exposure. My doctor said that the kaposis would not have appeared that quickly. I get these marks every few months and they disappear after a few days. I am enclosing pictures. Any ideas? I seem to have an on-going post hepetic neuralgia in my behind that always burns and aches. A RX for Gabapentin but not willing to risk the side effects.
