My legs have now been itching for 2 years. I have not been able to find any relief. The first time i went to a dermatologist he gave me steroids and creams. The scabs went away temporarily but came back. They seem to itch more on the bottom half of both legs and more at night. The last dermatologist cut a piece out and sent it off and now they say i have an underactive thyroid, and nothing to do but live with it. I have been taking synthroid for over 20 years for an underactive thyroid and i have my blood work done regularly and my primary care said i am on the right dosage. She is very puzzled and recommends going to a specialist clinic. I will now be going to emory in june. I was given a strong cortizone cream to put on and i use sarna lotion. I am not really getting any relief. I feel like this is coming from within and i am not finding the real problem this started 2 years ago. Please let me know if anyone has a solution as to what is going on with my legs. I am not obese and do not have vascular problems.
