I can't get the right diagnosis. I'm 28 years old, 5'6 and 120 pounds.
My right leg is bigger than my left (about 1 inch in my thigh and calf.) also my ankles in both legs look somewhat "fat"
I have a pitting edema in my calfs.
My knees turn marble/purple in the evening, my feet are cold most of the time.
Also my right leg feels a little numb sometimes.
My cholesterol level is 180mg.
I exercise 3 times a week and eat a very balanced diet.
From time to time (maybe 2-3 times a year) I get this weird pain in my thigh 30 min after I lay down or sit down.
It gets better when I massage it or elevate my leg.
Also, it usually lasts for a few weeks. I noticed that it gets worse when it's humid outside, and when I exercise a lot. I'm having this pain at rest (it's not very severe, it's more a discomfort rather than pain) for about 7 years now.
About half year ago I had a D-dimer test done, the levels were elevated, but I didn't do any further testing (because of lack of insuarance..I paid close to $1000 for a few tests, and still didn't get any diagnosis, so I simply decided to live healthy, but the symptoms are still there)
It's not that it bothers me that much....BUT, in the last few weeks, the size of my thighs increased by about 3 inches, I can't fit in any of my pants, also my legs look like there's lots of water or fat in them, despite that I'm not overweight.
Does anybody know where should I start? I'm willing to get checked again, but I would like to have an idea where to go in order to avoid unnecessary tests. I know I'm asking too much, but I thought I will at least give it a try.
