About 4 years ago, when i got out of bed i noticed that i had sharp shooting pain in my leg. it was my upper thigh, where it meets the torso. i ignored it because it wasn't the first time. after 4 months of limping around and having this pain i decided to go to the doctor. i had an xray and a cat scan and nothing showed up. then i got an mri and the doctor said that there was some "black spots" and that those meant there were changes in the composition of the bone marrow. that i must have fallen really hard and suffered a bone bruise and that is why my leg hurt. the problem was that i didn't fall. i think i would remember if i fell hard enough to bruise my bone. anyway he gave me some anti-inflammatory pills and sent me home, said i needed to stay off that leg and come back if the pain didn't go away in two weeks, because it could be something worse but that he wasn't going to tell me what it could be because he didn't want to "alarm" me. well it went away so i left it at that...4 years later here i am with the same pain, but now in my left leg. and i know for a fact that i haven't fallen. does anybody have any idea of what this could be? i do not want to go to the doctor if all their gonna tell me is take ibuprofen and stay off my leg. don't black spots in your bone usually mean something worse that a bone bruise?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
