It's painful for me to sit any length of time. The back of my legs hurt and get worse by just walking. It's painful at night when I am trying to get to sleep. This has started a year ago and keeps getting worse. I've tried PT but seems to make it worse. What is this?

  • Have You Tried Massage Therapy??? I've Been Doing Massage For Many Years And Sounds Like You Are Describing Sciatica Or Some Involvement With The Piriformis Muscle. Ther Are Points That Can Relieve That; It's A Relatively Quick Treament Protocol And I've Always Gotten Good Results. Pt's Are Trained Differently Than Massage Therapists, They Really Don't Know The Type Of Therapies That We Do. Stretching And Surgery Is More In Their Scope And They Work (usually) With Physicians So They Are More Of An Extension Of The Medical View. I Think Massage With Some Mild Streches To Increase Space In That Region For Nerves And Bloodflow Would Be Just What The Therapist Would Order!;) If That Doens't Work- Check Out A Chiropractor. It May Simply Be A Pinched Nerve And They Can Help You With That! Good Luck
