Earlier this year I started experiencing pains down the left side of my chest area, mainly near the lower part of my ribs and lung. I went to the doctor who told me it was probably a condition where the ribs join the sternum and went for an x-ray to check for any bone conditions which came up negative.
After that point I was a bit more at ease & mainly ignored the pain until one day this summer I experienced a horrible sensation of pins and needles all over my body and was short of breath for several minutes. This happened 3 times that day, however me and my friends put this down to a mild heat stroke due to it being very hot and we had previously been drinking the night before.
Since then everything had been fine with the mild pain every so often being the only bother. On saturday night however I went on another night out with some friends and again had the same problem the next day when attempting to drive back home. The difference this time however was I had drunk a lot of water (6-7 pints) and was out on a pretty cold day.
I'm now starting to think its more than just what I have previously been thinking, I've read some post about pins and needles being connected to drinking but nothing connecting it to the lung pains.
Its becoming quite worrying as I don't drink that often, when I do I have a fairly large amount. I stopped smoking completely at the start of the year up until this weekend when I had one or 2 but could that cause any agrovations?!?!?
Thanks very much any help is much appreciated
