For almost a year now my bladder has been waking me up at night. At first it was just annoying, and after a month or so I went to see my doctor. He told me not to drink as much liquids after 6pm.
That didn't help things and things progressed into left abdominal pain to the point where I could no longer get comfortable lying down (especially on my stomach and that is how I sleep). One morning it was so bad that after calling my doctor and not being able to see him that day, I went to see my OBGYN. They did an ultrasound and said that everything seemed fine. The following week I went to my doctor again and he gave me a referral to a urologist. I saw the urologist in January and they did CT scans and a cystoscopy and everything seems to come back normal. They prescribed me a medication that is supposed to relax the bladder.
I even stopped taking my pill because I thought that it could be a hormonal problem.
At this point I still get really bloated and I still get up at night to go to the bathroom. It is also causing me sharp abdominal pains during intercourse.
The medicine they gave me seemed to make things a little better but at this point I stopped taking everything because I wanted to see if stopping the pill would change things.
I'm at a complete loss, I don't know what else to do. :(
This is all very frustrating and it's really taking a toll on me and on my relationship. I don't seem like myself anmyore because I seem to have this constant pain on the left side.
I am going to see my doctor again tomorrow but I'm afraid that they still won't have any answers for me :(
If anyone has any input, I would greatly appreciate it.
