My brother is in his late 30's and is having trouble with his feet and palms itching. This has gone on for four months now. After a bit they had bruise like spots. His energy has dropped. He has done tons blood tests and no one can tell him what is going on. He has severe pain at times when walking on hard surfaces, and the itching is very intense.
He has a high white blood cell count, now stomach problems. Has anyone ever heard of any of this and can give us some clue as to what it can be??

Yes , this is my 2nd time asking for help. I couldn't go back and change my 1st on to registered and didn't know if that made a difference in getting a response of not.

Thank you in advance

  • What kind of stomach problems does he have? Diarrhea or constipation? Gas, bloating or reflux? Has he tested for candida? This would be a stool test. I would recommend he get a comprehensive stool test and rule out candida, parasites, or any other bacterial problem... Try soaking in oatmeal bath, or using 1.4 cup pure apple cider vinegar to several gallons hot water. Pure aloe vera gel may help...Hope this helpsDoctor of Oriental Medicine

  • Is your brother diabetic? If so, it could be peripheral neuropathy. Usually this begins with a tingling (itching) sensation in the extremities. The stomach problems could also be connected to neuropathy. If your brother does not know whether he is diabetic all you need to do is ask his doctor for a blood glucose tolerance test. Typically they will do at least two of these test before diagnosising anyone with diabetes. Hope this helps.

  • You had one response in your last topic: me. You were looking to see if any of the symptoms clicked. Well, the purple spots and mention of high white blood cells reminded me of something I had heard about on the show Mystery Diagnosis: eosinophilia. Try doing a search of that word on Google, looking for images. I tried looking up eosinophilia and stomach aches on this website and came up with one result: trichinosis.I searched for the other thread to see if there was anything else left out of this post. You mentioned his eyes being almost swollen shut, which would fit with trichinosis. Again, I'm not a doctor, but maybe it's something to look at.
