I am having terrible pain in my left knee while using stairs. While bending or folding the knee i have stiffness on my back thigh muscles and foot muscles.
I have got the MRI done for left knee joint along with X-ray of Pelvis and Hip AP view, both are normal. X-ray of Lumbar spine AP/LAT view is also normal. Apart from these in X-rays the bone density, soft tissues are reported as normal.
I was finally recommended some Isometric exercises by my doctors which I have been doing for more than a month to no relief till date. I have these issues when I am standing or working at a single place for longer duration (more than 15 minutes), I feel the same pain and stiffness. Even while walking after standing for longer durations I have the same pain. I feel slightly better when i gently massage the knee and leg but that is momentary.
My doctor has rejected the the idea that it can be related to nerve compression, he says there is some tightness in my hamstring. Sometimes while walking i have a sensation like two bones are pressing against each other in my knee joint.
It's been more than 5 months i am having this pain but I have not been able to get any proper diagnosis for this problem, please help.
Thanks for your help
