Knee numbness and pain

Three days ago, I whacked my knee on a brick wall pretty hard. Understandably, it swelled up and was numb. However, it was still swollen and numb 48 hours later.
Now, the numbness is completely gone except in the center of the bruising, but the pain is still very much there.
Is this normal? Thanks

  • Get an xray, you might have fractured the patella (knee cap). Look up fractured patella.
