  • Good. Did you have any more tests to make sure you didn't tear any tendons or ligaments? I hope you feel better soon.

  • Only time will tell if you can play in a month. However, knees can take awhile to heal. Because you are young, you may heal fast. I messed up my knee two months ago, and it also has pain on the medial side. I thought I was doing better, but when I had to run after my cat, the pain came back after several steps, and the pain is still there 2 days later. When you hurt your knee, the ligaments regrow, but usually are never as strong as they were before. You may want to try a sport like swimming for awhile instead of risking messing up the delicate regrowth in your knee. Even though I did not use crutches, the leg with my hurt knee became weak and smaller than the other one. If you feel some weakness in the knee, swimming or aquajogging (you don't have to go under water, and you work your running muscles) would be a good way to strengthen the leg muscles to help support your knee. I am not a doctor. My doctor was a ***k who gave me unhelpful advice. I have just found out that resting your knee when you can, whenever it gets painful and swimming helps. I know it is hard giving up a sport, but you may not have to give it up forever if you give your knee a good chance to heal.
