I believe I have passed 2 kidney stones in the last month. The first time I went to the ER with overwhelming pain in my abdomin. I did not have any pain in my back or flank but rather throughout my mid section. Felt as if everything cramped up with incredible pain. the pain lasted for 20-25 mins and then was gone within seconds. They found nothing at the ER but they said I may have had a kidney stone and sent me on my way. No urine sample or instructions. I have since had the pain again on easter sunday. It started the same way. Felt like indegestion, gas, and quickly turned into the incredible pain that remains constant for 20-25 mins with no comfort or reprieve. Again there was no flank pain but rather a mid to lower abdominal pain. I truly feel as though my intestines were cramping too. Is this possible. I have never seen the stones come out so I am questioning wether or not I have kidney stones. Once the stones are in the bladder is it painful to pass the stones from there. I have the feeling the stones are still there. If I am unfortunate to have kidney stones again I will quickly get a urine sample. But my question to you guys is 20-25 mins of crazy pain and then quick dissapation consistant with kidney stones? I am rather poor and don't have the means to have all these test done.
