It all started over a year ago my buddy and i both got very ill for about a month and a half.. Including fever, fatigue, digestive problems, diareha, night sweats, kidney pain, swollen lymph nodes, pain rite under the left and right side of where the rib cage ends, and sharp lower abdomin pains like 4-5 inches below the belly button... After a month or 2 that all went away. I did have a EBV test and my GP ran wht he said "all the tests he could do" but anyway Then there would random spurts of a mild version of it that would last anywhere from a week to a month. Mainly just kidney pain, swollen lymp nodes, a feeling of being warm and diareha "the diareha has been almost constant for the past year and a half more like loose stools tho".. Ill feel great for a month or 2 then it will come back for a week or 3, maybe it will only be around for a day or 2. It does wht its wants. The kidney pain comes in spurts also. Like maybe 10-15 times a day for 5 minutes a spurt.

1.How bad is it that Ive been having kidney pain for over a year now?

2.Does anyone have any direction they can push me in for an answer I have no health insurance either so going to a million doctors is outta my check book?

Id really appreatiate it for any help thank you

  • ^^^^^ not a doctor In trying to find the cause for my illness, which does exhibit similar symptoms, I came across something that the doctors wouldn't find: aspartame poisoning (artificial sweetener called Nutrasweet has it, found in diet coke and hundreds of other foods). I've been off of it for ~48 hours now and am feeling much better. Prior to this I had vomiting, headaches, and a ghastly 16 in a row diarrhea of WATER in one day. The fact that you will randomly get your symptoms for weeks supports this. I looked into aspartame poisoning and at first it looked kind of like a conspiracy theory on the net till I read "the Bressler report" Check it out. In particular, aspartame is most potent in liquids, so if you drink lots of diet soda, you may definately have it. Also do you remember what tests you had taken? Kidney disease would show an abnormal GFR and would mean you would pee less (<4 times a day) and have water retention.

  • No sorry I dont remember all the tests he did. That was last November Ive just had to suck it up the past year. But all i drink is water nothing else. And my friend and I got sick at the same time and was the exact same symptoms ongoin for each of us. So atleast i narrowed it down to it has to sumthing somwhat in somway contagious. Im just starting to think my kidneys hurting on and off are a bad sign.

  • well.. you do have a fever which I don't have... when it occured did you and your friend go hiking or travelling? You did a lot of blood tests you say but have you had any stool tests? in particular giardia or parasite? if not check it out. See your doc again in any case.
