About a year and a half ago I started having severe pain in my upper right abdomen. For 2 months they tested my gallbladder for EVERYTHING under the sun until they found a mass in my ureter tube. (Sidebar: I had a double ureter on the right side). In Aug. 2012 I was operated to remove the mass. The Dr. expressed he had never seen anything like it...it was growing like ivy up my tube towards the kidney. Mass was bi-nine. Fast forward a few months...pain is back (had 2 kids this is comparable to labor pains) so he decided to use the DiVinci robot to take out the ureter tube and part of the kidney. Great we did that in Jan. 2013. In May 2013 I had yet another procedure to drain fluid from the infection sight. This fluid came back normal. Since this time I have been in continual pain, blood work looks good just slightly elevated white count, urine fine, they can find nothing wrong. My Dr. has given me 2 months to decide if I want him to do an open incision which will require a lot of recovery time or live with the pain. I am not sure what to do. I want more opinions.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
