Just Lip Swelling

I couldn't find anything that could tell me why my lip all of a sudden swelled up.

super gross, but I drained it twice and it just swelled up again.

All the diagnostic help stuff says 'lip swelling and X' but that's really the only thing that's going on. I bit it a few months ago there really hard, but it seems weird that that's why.
For whatever it's worth, the fluid that came out was yellow

  • I have the same issue and I think it may be a mucocele, which is just that you may have bit so hard that you popped a salivery gland and it leaked into surrounding tissue and inflammed it. My advice to you is to go see a dentist and stop popping it cause it may only make it worse. If you don't have insurance to see a dentist(which I don't have money for right now) Then I suggest as long as it does not hurt, it can wait a little, but try and see a dentist. And keep in mind that if it is a mucocele than they will probably refer you to an oral surgeon to take the damaged salivery gland and tissue out.
