My Doc thinks I have RA (haven't been tested yet). My joint pain is all over, but it moves around. My hands are the worst and my knees (pain started in my right hand). My ankles, shoulders, toes, feet (top and bottom) neck, jaw and elbows also hurt off and on. I'm starting to get some shooting pains in my knees and feet and twitching in random places (thumb, armpit, leg). My back is also starting to get sore, thought that may be from overcompensating from the knee/ankle pain. The thing is, while the pain definately gets worse after sitting, I'm not super stiff in the morning. It seems to get better with sleep, even just after napping, and it's REALLY bad at night, especially if I've had to work or had a busy day. The pain is managable while I'm still active, though I can feel my body getting more and more tired/swollen. Nights seem to be better if I haven't done anything during the day-although that doesn't happen much with a 14 month old and a job, but I still get stiff and my knees and hands kill me at night. I've been searching and searching and I can't find any thing that fits. Anyone have any suggestions regarding what else it could be?

  • This is probably a stretch, but have you been tested for Celiac? I know someone with joint pain who ended up with Celiac and went on the gluten free diet and the joint pain went away. Research it, if for anything else, just to rule it out.
