Hi everyone -

I am a 16 year old female and for almost the entire last year, I have had serious shoulder pain, migraines, and have been exhausted. Recently, I started having back pain as well. I was diagnosed with tendinitis, but physical therapy and anti-inflammatory medication did nothing for me. What really prompted me to post this is that today, while sitting in my math class, i swear I felt the muscles in my shoulders "ripple." First the right shoulder, then the left. Also, my neck has been cracking a lot lately (basically if I tilt my head right or left, i can crack it every few minutes). I have pretty achey and like my muscles are tight all over, but it hurts when anyone touches the painful areas (my mom thought maybe she could massage out the knots, but i felt like crying when she tried.

I would appreciate any and all ideas/suggestions

  • Get all of your vitamin, mineral, and electrolyte levels checked. With your symptoms you can easily get dumped into the chronic fatigue syndrome category, which doesn't tell you anything and typically has only holistic treatments, but no cures.I mention these because you could have something straight forward like anemia or a B12 deficiency causing the migraines and fatigue even muscle weakness. Make sure your adrenals are checked so you can rule out Cushing's Syndrome. Also, think back to last year when the symptoms started. Are you typically an active outdoors person? Do you eat alot of seeds or whole fruits? Do you travel out of the country? Were you in a car accident?I mention the questions above because you could have been bitten by a tick or fly; have seed poisoning; or whiplash.Hope this helps with a few places to look.

  • so i spoke to my mom and we are going to wait until i have my check-up with my doctor, which is in a month, because there's nothing obviously wrong (no throwing up, no fever, etc...)Until then, i'm pretty much taking tylenol for what hurts and taking a multi-vitamin everyday
