I'm not sure if these symptoms are interlinked or not, but I'm writing down everything I can think of.
I'm a 15 y/o female, average height and weight.
Gp refferred me to 2 different paediatric rheumatologists in the past 3 years about about pain in my joints, mostly my knees. No diagnosis.
Severe pain in my joints, especially knees and hips. When the pain strikes does not follow any pattern, except is worse after excercise. Pain occurs most in knees, then hips and ankles, and occasionally elbows and wrists. Joints often swollen. (To the point of causing stretch marks)
Raynaud's phenomenom
Tingling and numbness in joints, often accompanied by a burning sensation.
Cannot walk in straight line.
Poor balance (I fall over when stood with my eyes closed)
Talk very slowly, speech is sometimes jumbled, like I can't get the correct words out
Uncoordinated - cannot catch etc.
Unconscious eye movements
Feeling fatigued, regardless of the amount of sleep I get
Periods of not being able to sleep
Periods of short attention span and confusion

I think that's all. Like I said, I just wrote down every symptom I have, in hope I might get some sort of clue as to what may be the matter.

  • Have your thyroid checked by a thyroid specialist...not your GP. My daughter had most of these symptoms. She had Hashimoto's disease but doctors never tested for it.

  • Sounds to me like Juvenile Rheumetoid Arthritis. is there inflammation? Does the inflammation go away/decrease with anti-inflammatory drugs? All the other signs you mention - such as fatigue - also point to RA. But it could also be an infection of the joints which, IF left untreated, becomes CHRONIC... I'm no doctor, but if I was one I would certainly send you for blood tests. It's really the only way of seeing exactly what's wrong.
