Been suffering for over 2 years now with what the doctor believes to be just "Jock Itch".
I've been experiencing a burning senstion (like a sun burn) with slight redness in the groin (inguinal area), more so on one side with occassional puffyness or mild swelling of the upper 2" of the inner thigh.
I've tried 3 different over the counter remedies for Jock Itch, plus 2 prescription medications that have not cleared this up.
Whether I've been using ViaDerm KC, Neosporin with pain relief or just vaseline ... it feels much better when applied, but the burning sensation returns within hours when I stop applying them :(
The doctor doesn't seem concerned at all, saying that it could only be Jock Itch since it only effects that area
After over 2 years, this has really become a life altering condition ... let alone the drastic effect on my sex life where any touch is painfull
