Jaw and Hip Pain

My 37 y.o. son has been having severe jaw and forehead pain for 3 weeks now. He also has pain in his hip when he moves it (like getting into the car). He doesn't have a toothache or earache. We thought it might be TMJ but it doesn't explain the hip problem. They both started at the same time. He's not running fever or anything that would indicate infection of some kind. Any help would be appreciated.
