  • The condition is known as pearly papules, more formally hirsuties papillaris genitalis, and represents the deposition of sebacious fluid near the skin's surface. They do not constitute an STD or other condition and are completely benign. We can ablate them with a CO2 laser in instances where patients are self-conscious about their appearance, but my suggestion is to simply let them be. Best regards, J Cottle, MD
