:mad:Can somebody hopefully give me an idea of what this could be? For approx 3-4 years now, Ive had a steady mucus condiiton where I am constantly clearing my throat or coughing to get mucus out. The mucus is clear, but sometimes especially in the morning, its kind of thick and I have a hard time trying to get it out until after a while of coughing and hacking. I have it for years now!....and after seeing my doctor over and over and seeing specialists over and over again..."still no diagnosis"! First they told me it might be my blood pressure medicine...so it was changed over and over again...but still no change in this mucus condition. Then they told me it might be related to my acid reflux problem so they gave me different types of acid inhibiting medication...and all my heartburn problems are definitely gone, but still no change with the mucus condition. Ive had all the scopes down the throat like a gastroscopy, endoscopy, broncoscopy....and the specialists told me theres nothing serious wrong with me and its probably all in my head! Sure, I dont have any other symptoms except of having to steadily hack and cough to get the mucus out. I dont have any fever accompanying this...I dont get tired that Ive noticed...I dont have a loss of appetite. As far as sleeping is concerned...I have to hack and cough before I lie down, but it seems to subside after a while when I am lieing on my side and then I get an OK rest until morning, when I get up and start moving around...the mucus condiiton comes back again and continues for the rest of the day...on and off like its been doing for years.
Can somebody out there just give me an idea of what I should do with this issue? I really dont know which way to go since the doctors seem to tell me in one way or another thats its all in my head!
