  • I believe your cousin should first try to bathe in an oatmeal bath, pat her body dry and apply some Gold Bond Baby powder which will sooth the itching some. She then needs to go to see her pharmacist and ask his/her advice. Most times they can help but if they cannot then she should really see her family doctor ASAP.Good luck

  • I would consider Celiac Sprue. I had terrible and unrelenting rashes before I was diagnosed with Celiac. I had to go to the new "gold standard" blood test for my DNA to find out I had the HLA DQ2 celiac gene. Ironic both my parents carry the same gene. What are the chances of that?

  • Contact a Dermatologist because it can be brought on either by contact with a specific chemical to which the patient is uniquely allergic or with a substance that directly irritates the skin. Some chemicals are both irritants and allergens. So first confirm the reason of itching than take any medicine.

  • I have some of this also.My itching is in the form of sparadic patches of intense itching.I have anxiety.I have had a job loss ,urine infections, caused by a stone now removed, and alot of other stresses.I don,t know the base cause of my itching problems but I am dead cert that the stresses that I have gone through has brought it on.I find that general practitioners are not good for this.I think I will give a specialist a try.
