I started getting a rash on my face abt five weeks ago; doc gave me corticosteroids; it helped after 6 days; the rash went away for abt 2-3 days then came back with a ferociousness!!! This is a list of the symptoms: splotches of tiny bumps with areas of redness, itching all over body but no other rashes; heat makes it worse---it burns and itches in heat; I have not eaten any new foods, no new pets, no soap changes including laundry or dish soap, no new meds; decreased appetite and increased need for sleep! I have been sick with the flu and strep throat off and on; my first bout of strep throat started in Dec and was finally "cured" in mid Jan; it came back in March along with dbl ear infection and sinus infection; then I had the flu for two weeks and have had trbl recovering since then; I was started on a new abx about 7 days ago but the rash never went away---it does not hurt or itch, it is just teensy little bumps with red swollen patches around it and it is only on my jawline, neck and chest.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know---I am tired of going to the docs----did I tell you that methylprednisolone does help but not entirely. I have tried OTC's like benedryl and clatritin with no relief.
