Hi everyone. I am a 30 year old female who gave birth to a healthy baby girl 5 months ago. I had a relatively smooth pregnancy except for the emergency C-Section and having hypthyroidism due to having my thyroid ablated 2 years ago. Anyway, since my daughter was a month old, I started to have debilitating migraines which eventaully went away. Now for the past 3 months I've had pain and weakness on the left side of my body! i've had issues with my left side before for the past 3 years and was told it was might be anxiety! Early 2007 I was diagnosed with overactive bladder and the urologist sent me for an MRI to make sure I didn't have MS, since I already have one autoimmune disorder( Graves disease). The MRi came back the same as the one I had the year before(some white matter spots on the brain, no change in the size or amount) Now, back to the present, I had some chest pain, but it's mostly surface level chest pain and my heart feels fine, no palpatations or anything like that! I went to the doc and she said i had GERD, put me on Nexium whiched helped somewhat, since I continue to eat GERD inducing foods! But back to the weakness on my left side! Before the GERD diagnosis, I went to the neurologist for the weakness on my left side, he thought it might be depression related, and felt there was no need for a new MRI since he saw the results of the old one! That was 3 months ago and I am still in pain! My leg hurts and sometimes feel like it's going to give out on me. The pain and numbness start in my lower left side of my back( it's like a knot in my back) shoots, down to the last two twos on my feet. I also began to experience the same feeling in my left arm! Sometimes, it's like I can't lift my arm! I am also experiencing this horrible pain in my upper jaw/teeth! Pain in my neck! Sometimes, I think maybe there is some nerve damage, but then I think it's circulation, since sometimes it feels like I can feel the blood moving through my left leg! Sometimes, I think it's stress, since my home and work life are very stressful right now. I also am overweight since i haven't been been able to lose the baby weight. Sometimes, I think it's my thyroid, since my hair recently begain to shed really bad and was very dry. However, I went to my endo and my blood work came back within normal range! I am at my wits end because I know if i go to the doctor, they'll just say, oh, it's anxiety, like they have before! I had a friend who complained of leg pain and kept getting dismissed, until she found out she had a major blood clot in her leg and stomach!Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
