I've been to different specialists and no one seems to believe all of my symptoms. I'm 29, sleep 10 hours a night (if not, I'm worthless) and trying to finish my PhD...There seem to be no common 'triggers' to my symptoms that all appear at once and then disappear at once:

I wake up with extremely swollen feet and ankles (my toes are reddish/purple). I can barely move my hands. Hip, knee and general joint pain.

Exhausted. I mean, I can barely get out of the chair exhaustion.

Constipation appears.

Confusion. My sentences are jibberish at times. My ability to concentrate disappears.

'floaters' in my vision.

Shallow breathing and just plain exhaustion.

  • Yah LOL no one believed me for years either and it was so frustrating. You do NOT have the same symptoms I have, but have you been tested for a sleep disorder? After years and years of dr's trying to blame "depression" for my symptoms and trying to explain to all the dr's that I was only "depressed" because I was so exhausted all the time, they finally tested me and to my amazement I actually DO have a sleep disorder!! Now I'm having numbness in the bottom half of one leg and foot and I feel like the same thing is happening all over. It's almost like no one believes me just because they can't explain it. Whatever you do keep searching for an answer and don't give up. Keep asking for second opinions and keep seeing specialists until someone figures out your problem. Be persistant and NEVER settle for less then what you deserve, so don't give up until you are confident that the diagnosis you get is correct!! Good luck!! ~~Angie~~

It has been 18 months of going to Dr after Dr and specialist after specialists, taken more tests than I can pronounce!
