For the past few years it seems like every 6 weeks I get this infection in my nose that will last longer then 2 weeks. My nose will swell up and turn red, I get white spots on and in it with it will ooze to a yellow crust. My glands swell in my neck and jaw line and are very tender. Early November I finally brought it to my Family Dr's attention and he looked at it and prescribed me Acyclovir (anti-viral for possible herpes/fever blister)and Mupirocin 2% ointment. I used these as prescribed and I didnt see it heal any quicker at all. My doctor did not swab for a culture.
Now that its been 6 weeks I have it again. Over the weekend as I felt it coming on I started taking the Acyclovir 4x's a day as prescribed and I smothered my nose in the Mupircin ointment like 4 x's a day (prescribed for twice daily) and right now my nose is extermely swollen, red with many white dots on it and in it. The glands along my jaw line are so swollen and sore it looks like I have a goiter. What it the infection thats been torturing me almost every months for at least 3 years now. Please help! I welcome any advice.

I caught MRSA after helping my GF who was hospitalized for aMRSA blood infection. Although the two weeks of vanco probably saved her life andsucceeded in curing the blood infection – like most cases of MRSA it returnedand this is where Western medicine failed her. From my experience, westernmedicine is good at helping in emergency situations but drops the ball when itcomes to chronic conditions – and MRSA is a chronic infection. Because we didnot yet know better we continued to trust the doctors and now my previouslyactive GF is practically bed ridden after suffering nerve damage from Zyvox prescribedfor cellulitis. The zyvox didn’t even effectively treat the problem, and afterscouring the internet we tried a charcoal poultice which drew out the infectionand set her on a natural path to recovery. The doctors never even told herabout the possible side effects of Zyvox, we had to find out for ourselves onthe internet once it was too late. In the mean time, me and her family membersstarted breaking out in MRSA skin infections. By this point we had all seen thehavoc that traditional medicine could wreak on non-emergency (not bloodinfection) MRSA sufferers and we knew we had to find another way to deal withthis chronic problem. That’s when we, after months and months of non stopresearch, finally began understanding the importance of diet, naturalsupplements to support immune system health, and essential oils, in actuallygetting rid of MRSA for good. It is a long battle and not something thathappens over night – but you can actually get rid of MRSA without destroyingyour whole body with antibiotics. Indeed many MRSA sufferers have been toldthey will be on antibiotics for life, this is not a healthy or a realisticoption! I understand if you’re skeptical but do yourself and your family afavor and at least diligently research natural alternatives to dealing withMRSA. This ebook is a good place to start, and compared to the $100 a pill zyvoxand thousands of dollars in copays in traditional treatment of MRSA, it is alsoan affordable way to start. I am obviously not suggesting that anyone with a serious infection in the blood or bone or anything like that forgo antibiotics and just eat a lot of garlic - but for those sufferers who have chronic reoccurring skin infections there really is a better answer than life long antibiotics. http://tinyurl.com/4u6hhmxGod bless and good luck.
