For about 3 months now I have been getting pain inside my right cheek, and have a small lump next to my back upper molars.
I have made several trips to the dentist. He said it was a blocked minor salivary duct, and he could remove it surgically. He said there was no stone present, that it was just inflamed. I went to my doctor and he said it could be a sinus infection and gave me Penicillin which did nothing. Today I went back to the dentist, and he wants me to go to an oral surgeon for a diagnoses. I have used numerous mouthwashes and am drinking plenty of water. What could this pain be? I am so fed up with it and now am very concerned that it may be oral cancer.
My other concern, is that I don't have either medical or dental insurance. So I am asking anyone out there if they have had any of these symptoms.
