By "irregular anus" I mean that I have extra tissue, protruding tissue, on my anus. It never hurts, and is not an irregular color. For the most part I don't even notice it, but I noticed it tonight after I used the restroom and decided I should try to get an idea about what's going on. It might get aggitated if I'm wearing a g-string and it rubs against it, but even that rarely happens. I considered that maybe it's a polyp or something, but it feels and looks like the rest of my anus, despite the fact that it sticks out. Any ideas?

With natural births? If so & during delivery they had to do an apesiotomy (which is were they cut the skin between the anus & vagina) to keep you from tearing. If you can say yes to any of that... the possibility is that it's excess tissue due to the procedure. The other option would be to concider hemorrhoids.

Any ideas?Could it be some type of hamerrhoids or mild rectal prolapse?Do you have any bloody faeces, constipation, unfinished feeling post defecation, mucous in stools or pain?

  • When I was pregnant, I got hemmerhoids for my first time. Now I get them very easily. Sometimes at the beginning or end of getting my hemmerhoids it doesn't hurt but there is almost like a little flesh covered sac right next to my anus. If you have ever had hemmerhoids I think that could easily be what is going on.

  • Sounds like something I have as well (F/31/ one vaginal birth no episiotomy or tearing). I have had hemorroids for a LONG time- since my teens (tension & later discovered constipation caused from gluten intolerance). Since they were typically internal I never noticed other than pressure or feeling stopped up-nothing like the prep H commericals. Pregnancy brought them out, literally. I had one prominent one the last trimester, I named it Lemmy the Hemmy (gotta cope with humor). When it went down the skin was stretched and remains so. Feels the same- not warts- not rashy- not itchy- not discolored- nothing. Doc says its basically a 'tag' of sorts where the skin was stretched (ewww...I know). You may have strained and pushed an "innie" to and "outie" without noticing-if it has not been there long it may resolve itself. Prep H will help constrict blood vessels and sooth skin (wear ugly undies when you use it, not pleasant smell). -pics above are right on-
