Hello, I have been on a merry-go-round of specialists with everyone scratching their heads at my systemic pain. I've been told RA, Fibromyalgia and nervous system malfunction. No one agrees! Finally, with some blood tests we have discovered I have a latent and a re-activation of ebbstein barr virus, cytomeglavirus, HHPV 6 and it also shows Hep C which is most likely negative since I have no risk factors. I also have a very high RA factor. My primary doctor was thinking he was an expert on fibromyalgia and was positive this is my problem, yet a fibromyalgia specialist says I only have 3 of 4 qualifiers. All I know is I suffer debilitating pain and frequently suffer hypersensitivity to temperature and have many night sweats. Anyone who is living with many viruses, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts - I've been recently referred to a Infectious Disease Specialist, but I've been to so many specialists, I'm waiting for Hugh Laurie to join the crew! Seriously, it's so frustrating when the so-called experts can't even agree with whats wrong with me. The only thing they all agree on is that most likely a recent vertebrae fusion probably kicked off this immune-response. Sound familiar to anyone???? My worst symptoms are the fatigue and the pain. No one seems to care about treating the symptoms anymore, as if the actual diagnosis is going to change my symptoms! Thoughts? Warnings?
