I have had for the past few days some kind of fungal infection. Well in an area not far off from it I started to develop a bump. At the time I thought it was a zit (I occasionally get them on my legs, not often but occassionally) and I tried to pop it (bad idea I know! Don't tell me, I know!) When it wouldn't pop, I realized it might be from the rash (though it was a couple of inches out from it) and went to bed.
When I woke up, the area around the bump was hurting. I looked at it and saw the bump looked like a blood blister. I tried to be careful with it but sometime during the day it must have popped. Now it's infected. The skin around it is inflamed and red and it hurts. The spot looks very very dark but I am pretty sure that's blood pooled under the skin still. Now that it's popped it's no longer raised above the skin.
Unfortunately I do not currently have healthcare and cannot afford to go to the doctor and buy antibiotics. So I am looking for other treatments for what has turned into a very uncomfortable and rather large infection.
I don't usually believe much in herbal/natural treatments but I've tried picking up some garlic oil tablets and have started taking those, haven't been long enough to tell if it's doing anything or not.
I have also been rubbing on an OTC antibiotic gel.
