My wife has recently given birth to a baby girl - now 10 days old. There is some blood appearing in her nappies, apparently from her vagina. I am not sure if this is in the urine or not. She has seen a doctor, who suggested that the baby might be suffering from reactions to her mother's hormones whilst still in gestation. I have searched the web and find no reference to such a disorder. I am considering going to another doctor for a second opinion, but would like to know of any similar cases and possible causes.

  • It is normal for baby girls to sometimes have a "menstruation" soon after they are born. Try the following linkhttp://www.babycenter.com/refcap/baby/babycare/newborns/115.html#2
