Being diagnosed with fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, anxiety disorder, insomnia I as already having enough problems. And then along came a horrendous car crash which left me with a broken back and bulging discs.
I have been seeing a very well known Pain Clinic for right at a year now, and they have just in the past month lost their supervising physician. They are hoping to resume operating the clinic and seeing patients by mid October. Their suggestion to their patients is to either go to your referring physician that sent you to the pain clinic initially or go to the nearest emergency room.
I have done both. The inital referring physician is closing operations and does not want to call my medications in for just this one month and the local e.r. doctor told me that he was and I quote "not doing **** for me". All of my documents can be faxed to the e.r. or to the inital referring physician or to whomever at this point so that it can be verified that I do go to that clinic and that I am on these medications.
I am now going on my third night with no medication and I feel horrible. Not only is the pain excruciating but I'm now throwing up and have diarrhea. I'm running fever and am about as weak as a newborn kitten.
