She was diagnosed with spinal stenosis in her neck. The condition is a shrinking of the area around the spinal cord, and the pain is caused by bone spurs, cartilage, and other things pressing on, pinching, or piercing the nerves in your spinal cord. The tingling in your legs indicates that your condition is slightly lower than the neck. My wife went through weakness and stiffness for many months before she actually started feeling numbness and pain. The condition kept gradually getting worse over time. There was no single incident that caused the pain.Good luck! Hope this helps.

  • tingling and numbness starting in the extrematories (hands and/or feet) and which then affects other places is a sign of B12 deficiency. Get a blood test for B12 but be aware that those tests arent great as one can show up being okay in the blood level but have a deficiency within ones tissues/cells. So you may still have B12 deficiency even if normal blood test comes back fine. You need to try supplementation (or a few B12 injections). If it is this and you dont get enough supplementation it can lead to nerve damage and far more symptoms then those you have now.

Also, have a neurosurgeon read the MRI itself, not the print out from the radiologist. Arthritic narrowing can cause symptoms you describe but the physicial examination from a neurosurgeon is important as they can tell if the physical signs fit the MRI (with contrast).Good Luck on finding out what it wrong.
