I have been suffering with stomach pains and extreme fatigue for months.
The doctors have done exrays and a catscan of my stomach and only found that I was full of bowel. They gave me lactolose which never worked and told me to do some enema's at home which also never worked. I have finally got in to see my family doctor and asked him to test my thyroid still waiting for the results but he seems to think that it's irritable bowel syndrom and gave me dicetel and told me to take senekot everyday. The dicetel I don't think is working and I am really scared to start taking senekot everyday. Anybody else suffer from these symptoms? I don't know what test to ask my doctor to do next.

  • hello Well irritable bowel is only diagnosised when everything else is ruled out so dont take that answer just yet. You should get a blood test done for coeliac disease and even if it comes back that your on the borderline you should go have an endoscopy done where they can confirm or denie coeilac disease for sure. Other syptoms of coeliac are loss of weight or even sometimes gaining weight, consipation, diaherra, aches, fatigue, low iron etc if you have these which a couple it sounds like you do, i suggest you ask doctor about coeliac disease. Good luck.

  • Thank you so much for your reply. But about three months ago I got my tubes tied and an ablation.I have done a little research and it sounds to me like Post tubal ligation Syndrome. It wasn't till lastnight that I figured it out due to getting my period.I feel absolutly horrible.I have a six month old baby that I struggle to care for due to this problem.I really don't know where to go from here. I feel like a crazy lady. Do I have to get a hysterectomy to fix this problem or will something show up from getting my thyroid checked?
