 i am a 22 year old boy. i was completely well till i was 16. 5 years back i had a malaria attack. my case was misdiagnosed as the town had inadequate medical facilities. anyways i used to get well by talking chloroquin tablets but the malaria attcked returned after every 15 days. This continued till 5 months. after i had completely recovered i started experiencing the following conditions.

I started seeing floating objects in both my eyes. I never really could catch them as they floated elsewhere everytime i tried to focus on them. also i started seeing flashes in both eyes especially after some time when i enter a dark room or after i had switched off the lights to go to sleep. i can describe them exactly as the candle light flickers after some time and then straightens and then again flickers and then becomes normal. the flashes in eyes were like the flickering in the candle.

apart from this i started noticing that the tip of my hand and leg fingers felt vibrating like experience everytime they were rubbed on something. like for example if i run my fingers on an irregular surface i could feel slight vibration and then it used to be ok. my digestive sytem has never been right after that period. Also whenever i get excited i feel really restless and nervous and i find it hard to get over.

i am suffering from all this for the past 5 years. i tried many things but the problem hasnt gone completely.

can anyone help me figure whats wrong with me and what i should do?

  • I agree: there are a LOT of tests that a neurologist can do to start the diagnosis process. Make sure you stand up for yourself, be persistent. If you have any dates and records of these instances, write them out b4 you go and take the sheet with you.
