6 months ago, I traveled to Honduras. While I was there, small blisters appeared on my finger. The nurse that was with me said that a parasite from the dirt was causing them and that they would go away over time. Since I have returned to the states, the blisters have completely dried out my skin and reappeared once. The skin is still not healed and I have now been sick for the past month. I am trying to determine whether the new sickness is related to the parasite, if that is even what was in my skin. The new symptoms include low fever, headaches, fatigue, body ache, slightly swollen spleen and lymph nodes. I also have had some stomach pain and irregular heartbeat. I have had a MRI of my brain and also a CT scan of my organs in my torso. Everything has come back normal. They thought that it might have been viral meningitis, but I am going on 5 weeks of still feeling ill. Do you think the parasite could be causing these symptoms??Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
