Discussions By Condition: I cannot get a diagnosis.

Ill for over 7 months with no diagnosis. Please Help!!

Im a 16 year old female.
I have been ill for over 7 months and no doctor can give me a diagnosis.
My symptoms are:

Sore throat - white spots on my throat, test for strep came back negative
Ear ache
Headache with pressure
Sinus pain and pressure
Black out/seizures
Loss of appetite
Weight loss of 28lbs
Pains in abdomen
Nose bleeds
Palpitations - episodes of tachycardia, 2 ecgs both came back normal
Cold sweats - night time
Feeling cold
Swollen glands - neck, armpits, groin
Stiff, painful neck
Lump on the top right eyelid on the underside
Chest pains
Shortness of breath
Weak muscles
Mouth ulcer
Painful armpit - i found a lump in my left armpit
Lack of concentration
Weak neck - when I put my head back I find it very, very difficult to lift up again
Jaw pain
Mood swings - very tearful to extreme anger
Painful ribs - i found a lump on about my 7th rib on my right side
Lump in groin on left side
Really itchy
Slight lump on my head which when touched it gives me a headache - no trauma
Painful lower back when walking
Recurrent infection
I felt like there was a lump on my back last night and when it got brushed with a cover it really hurt but there was no lump


Blood tests
- thyroid - normal
- full blood count - normal
Throat culture - normal
Ultrasound of abdomen - normal
ECG - normal

  • Hi rokie, If you haven't done so already, perhaps you could try clicking on the link along the bar at the top of the page marked 'SYMPTOMS' and input what you have in your post ... it's a start. Maybe that will supply you with a list of possibilities to mention to your physician that may not have been tested for or ruled in/out yet that he/she could look into further. I wish I could help you more, that's a lot to digest. It looks like you have had some tests, those done by your primary care provider (? I suspect ?); has he/she given you any referrals to specialists? With that much, I suggest you get to appropriate specialists for further examinations and tests. I really don't know where I would begin; perhaps with a neurologist and an MRI ... or an endocrinologist or cardiac specialist that can do more in-depth testing. I'm surprised you have not been supplied with any referrals to specialists for further testing and/or care, if you haven't been ... I suggest you inquire.
