Diagnosed with Idiopathic Symptomatic Epidural Lipomatosis. A very rare spine condition. Required 6 hour spine surgery. Surgeons removed 3.5 ounces of excess Epidural tissue. No history of steroids use for other conditions and not obese. Surgeon said the process had begun many years before.

Could there be a connection to exposure to aviation chemicals and jet fuels while a pilot in the military? Many oils, jet fuel, hydraulic fluids and cleaning chemicals are known carcinogens and can affect the CNS and many other organs.

Anyone know of a nexus for these chemicals and the above condition?
