My friend has recently started having a persistent pain in his left arm. Its like an icy pain that gets worse when he is active. He has had it for a week now. does anyone know what could be a cause for this?

  • That's not enough information to go on.Where exactly is the pain? What causes the pain to occur? What makes the pain better? What does ''icy'' mean?

  • Well seeing as I'm not the one with the pain, its a bit hard to describe it. But it starts in the palm of his hand, and the grows worse until its all of the way up his arm. He's started taking different over the counter pain meds to help it. "icy" means its a cold pain.. just how it sounds. All I'm looking for is some leads so I can research it better, something to go on. Anything that could cause a pain like that.

  • The most painful spots are his wrist, elbow and his shoulder. So his joints, but it is all connected... like from the palm up. If that makes sense. so.. it starts in the palm of his hand, and ends in his shoulder, with the wrist, elbow and shoulder being the most painful. Any other info I could ask for to be more helpful?
