  • Hello, My doctor told me last friday that he thinks I have IBS. He gave me some meds for stomach cramps and since I have the opposite of you ( not diarrhea but I'm blocked up instead ) he said if I didn't feel better in a few days he would send me to a gastroenterologist and recommend a colonoscopy. Why don't you see if you can go to a gastro doc? I had an upper endoscopy last year because I thought I had stomach cancer and was dying, and it turned out to be only small peptic ulcers. But I found out, and my fears were gone. I would recommend seeing a gastroenterologist and alleviating your fears. Hope this helps. xoHim a 27 year old female, I had my gallbladder removed in 2001 every since then I have had this pain, bloating and diarrhea:confused:. • I just wanted to tell my story,as horrible as it is. Well, I was like 28, I kept having abdominal pain, stomach distended(swollen) I kept thinking that I had some female problem,The pain reminded me of child birth contractions,it was awful, they would come and go, one month good, next month bad, horrible!! Well, this continued for 2 almost 3 years,I had no insurance, but when it got real bad,I would be sent to the E.R and sent home, saying they had no idea. Well, during this time, I only had a bowel movement maybe once a week, and after a while it became real dark looking,I even went to the E.R. once saying that there was blood in my feces, they sent me home, again no answers,Well, in 2004,4th of July, I remember,I was in so much pain, and I was counting the days that I had not had a bowel movement,I went to the E.R. after 25 days of nt going,I told them I have an obstruction of my large intestine, they said "NO", you have colitis, well, I went home, and I was in so much pain, I looked 8 months pregnant,I could not eat or drink cause I was so full,Needless to say,7 days later I started throwing up feces. I thought I would die,I went back to the E.R. where I was told that I had an obstruction of my large intestine. I had emergency surgery, I had colon cancer, I had a very large tumor which doctors in the area all came to visit in the hospital, a 30 year old with colon cancer, I say cancer has no age limit, I went through the whole colostomy bag and 1 year of chemo,My surgeon never charged a penny, God Bless Him, and I thank God that I am alive.. Good Luck, Demand answers, ask questions, research, know about your body,so doctors can't just tell you anything. And most of all Have Faith and spirits high, and never give up!!
