I would truly be so helpful if you could help me.

Briefly,... I have pain ever day in my hips, right big toe where it attaches to my foot, right ring finger where it attaches to my hand, and right side of my jaw.

Details:
hips: when rotating my legs in or out...hurts very badly or leaning towards one side of the hip or the other.
Diagonosis...nothing so far just 'maybe it's bursitus'. Hurts about 6 out of 10

right big toe: When walking it hurts very much, limits my ability to walk. The big toe pain came with pain in my right heel...basically woke up with it
Diagnosis, I have seen 2 foot doctors both think it's plantar faciitus. I got 2 mri's, xrays etc it just shows minor inflamation. I got two shots in the toe and one in the heel... now the heel doesn't hurt but the toe still hurts. I also had made custom show inserts which I where every day. Still my big toe is visibily inflamed and hurts badly, 7 out of 10.
Started: This started in December 2009 ! Still hasn't gone away. I have soaked it, iced it, tried PT, injection shots and prescription anti inflamatories

Right ring finger: when grabbing anything or especially moving my ring finger to the left or right it kills.
Diagnosis: I have had xrays and MRI's on my hand. First mri showed minor inflamation second one apparently showed no inflamation. The pain is very real. It's about a 7 out of 10, on the hospital scale.
Started: This started in Septmeber 2009 ! Still hasn't gone away. I have soaked it, iced it, tried PT, injection shots and prescription anti inflamatories

Right jaw, I can barely eat because my jaw will only open about 9/10th's of an inch... there is swelling and nerve pain near the jaw connection point and it radiates down my face.
Diagnosis: I haven't discussed this with my doctor yet because it came on in the past month.

Background: I'm only 39. I'm a male. I was diagnosed with HYPO thyroidism a few years ago and took a small amount. In September 09 (same time as the issues started) I saw a specialist thinking I was under medicating, she doubled my medication and my TSH is about 1.5 (it was about 3.5). I also take Wellbutrin for minor depression/anxiety. I have obviously considered, laughed about this all being in my head. I assure it isn't. The doctors see first hand the inflamation in the toe and finger...

I guess my suspicions are, would being on slightly too high dosage of thyroid medicine do this ? Could this be symptoms of a food allergy ? I've heard of that. Could this be because of Wellbutrin. I've taken it for 6 years. Could this be all related or are they all different things ?

Oh I also tried gout medicine and cut out any drinking at all for 3 weeks and haven't seen any improvement. Gout enzymes in the blood tests were only mildly elevated.

The doctor checked for rhuemetoid arthritus and said it's not clear there is or isn't any concern about that. I've also been checked for lyme disease.

Another bit of information, I do have dry eyes and sometimes dry mouth - which could both be from Wellbutrin...I've had this sympton for a while.

PLEASE HELP Even if you don't know, any ideas might lead me to the correct path. I am very active and my life is in shambles because I cannot do what I love which is be active...I can't even go for long walks or eat without being in pain.

Thank you so much, I'm sorry that was long. I think I provided all interesting facts.

  • drug side effects? If your doctor will let you you could try coming off the drugs for a short time to see if those pains go........ That kind of hip pain (esp with the rotation),.. is of the kind I get but the issue is actually with my lower spine but I dont feel it in my back. Lower back issues can radiate into hips so may be felt there instead. I go to an othopedic physio for mine who's really helped, (I got to the point where I couldnt put weight on a leg due to hip pain). So consider a back problem for your hips (rather then the hips themselves being an issue thou they seem to be)
