I woke up this morning, and in the right side of my peripheral vision I saw a small blind spot that was covered with rainbow-like colored patches of lines that were constantly moving in geometric shapes.

I got up and started to walk around, and the colored shapes/lines continued to spread. At the peak of this, about half of the right side of my vision was completely covered. I can't really explain what it looked like, but what I found online that best described it was psychedelic hallucinations from the drug LSD.

The shapes were constantly moving and kept transitioning colors of the rainbow.

Let me first clarify this: I have never used any drugs, nor have I ever drank and alcohol in my life. I'm a 21 year old male.

Can anybody explain to me why I had hallucinations without drugs? This is really disturbing me. This happened to me once in highschool when I was driving home, but never thought anything from it.

  • WOW! It sure sounds like your system is the same as a person that is being bomb-barded by Fumes & chemicals. Could there be some gas leak where you live or could your body be dealing with Latex, chemical or other things your breathing!?? When I had my Cancer, Car Fumes made me totally Nausus (sp). I would get sick to my stomach, I could smell the car fumes, EVEN with my car windows rowed up!!!:( If your M.D. are not getting to your health concerns, go to another one or you might seek out Alternative opinions with a Chiropractor that focuses on method besides just back adjustments. Also, NauturalPaths & I used an Osteropath that ran lots of test on me.....I Learned lots from him & others. I guess it's sillly to ask if you got an eye Dr. to find or tell you anything?! We're surpose to love everyone.........to bad your friends don't try to support you with yours discomforts & embassments. Maybe one day this will be a world filled with more compassion! We all have to hit bottom, this is a humble moment in time for you. Just keep seeking knowledge, one day you may have it in abundance.:o Sincerely,AdenoSurvivor:) yea dood im like that all the time, its over everything i see. like immage the tv chanels that dont work how its all splochy w/ dots everywere, tis like that but multi colord. and in places where its dard its mroe vibrant. so at night when i look at the sky its like looking into a colydiscope.

Mydaughter told me one day she was experiencing almost exactly what you are describing. That half of her vision was covered with moving patternsI immediatly phoned a neurologist friend of mine who said they were visual or ocular migraines and that she was to lie down in a dark room for a couple of hours. She did this and they gradually subsided.Although they are a form of migraine , you can get no pain although sometimes there is pain. There are lots of articles on the net about this.Below is one link.http://www.allaboutvision.com/conditions/ocular-migraine.htm
