Please help. I'm 39 now and the symptoms began when I around 16 so I have been living with this for almost 24 years. One day I woke up and felt very sick like I had caught a virus. Here are a list of my symptoms as best as I remember:Swelled glands in my neck (could hardly swallow for several days)Red, sore throatSevere cramps and diarrhea for about 2 weeksSevere headache FeverFingernails and toenails lost their pink tint and turned bluish/purpleSevere Acne on my face and backPounding, fast heartbeatWhite patch on the roof of my mouthThe ridges on the roof of my mouth dissappeared and became more smoothHot and cold flashes (for several months)Aches in my shoulders that traveled down my armsTrouble concentrating, thinking straight Panic attacks My scalp turned a reddish-pink tint My hair started falling outSevere itching on my scalp and backThe hair on my feet and around my ankles fell outWe were poor and I didn't went to the doctor. But I never felt normal again. I just knew something was very wrong.11 years ago, my Dr. diagnosed me with a type of clinical depression because I could not concentrate enough to carry out a meaningful conversation. The medication helps me function.Today, some of the other original symptoms persist:My hair has fallen out on top and thin all over in a very abnormal way. (No one in my family is bald)My finders and toes are still discolored blueish/purple.My posture is badNo energyStill no ridges on the roof of my mouth No hair around my ankles up to my calfMy gut feeling is that I have some sort of oxygen deficiency resulting from a viral attack on my skeletal muscles or thyroid glandI would like to feel normal and healthy again -like a whole person whose heart and brain function together in harmony. Although it's been almost 24 years since I've felt like a whole person, I can still remember that feeling of feeling normal and healthy but have not experienced it since this first happened.

  • Get your thyroid checked. I had almost the exact same symptoms and it turned out I was severly hypothyroid.
