Folks, I certainly need some ideas from people that might have ideas. I had this phlegm throat clearing problem for a long time; since November of 2008 and I did seek help on this site in the past and some good folks did assist me, and I really thought the problem was gone...but "it came back." Anyways, I currently cough and hack all the time to clear my chest of phlegm congestion. The phlegm is quite clear. I never get a fever...only the congestion. I was checked for asbestos and the tests were negative. I had multiple blood tests of infection and even HIV and they showed negative. I was on Altace blood pressure medication of which I replaced with Cozaar and no change. I do have a hiatus hernia but not sure whether this could have anything to do with the cause. All I do to get me by now is by the use of chest expectorant medication. If I didnt use this stuff, I probably wouldnt be able to wake up in the morning and get to work! I just got a gastroscopy done and am waiting for the results in June sometime. Do any of you kind folks have a clue as to what is happening with me? Are there some other conditions which could cause this phlegm cough? If so, please share your thoughts cause I am interested...thanks for reading..
