I visited the Dr last Tuesday for sore throat, congestion, and fever up to 103 degrees. He said it was Strep throat and prescribed Amox. I went back Monday for same sore throat, although fever and congestion diminished. He changed to Augmentin and gave pain relief for throat. Went back today for sore throat (so severe that can barely talk, eat or drink). He said looks more like ulcers in throat now that Strep throat or Tonsillitis. He prescribed a mouth wash, but how am I supposed to know what the diagnosis is? Maybe knowing a diagnosis would help prevent future illness.
