Hi my butt seems to leak out smell of drains/simply the "poo" wherever I walk ,even at home and I have no idea why! I have hemorroids and it is improving but this smell simply doesn't go off. When I clear my poo mostly, all it "flows out" are smell of the sewage drain. I understand about intestinal flora imbalance. But I have no idea why it just "flows" so freely when i can control my anal muscles.

Besides that, I have the normal constant rumbling sounds, gas, bloating, stomach pains, nausea.

And whenever i clear up my stomach, there's a 'burning feeling' within my stomach whereever it's empty.

I seriously need some help because I have gone to a few GPs with the condition "gas" and they say its common....but mine just flows w/o sound or action.
Does anyone have a problem like that? or should I do a checkup for anal spinchter?

I kind of doubt going to a specialist coz of fear of wrong/dismissed diagnosis again!

  • "Besides that, I have the normal constant rumbling sounds, gas, bloating, stomach pains, nausea" Irritable bowel syndrome IBS can cause all this... Try taking fibre supplement and probotics. Some kind of issue with a food could be causing problems too.. eg a food intollerance of some kind. So you could try experimenting with diet changes.

  • I'm the original poster.I also have small size hemmoroids, which I don't know if it also causes leakage.I'm taking domperidone and omeprazole(for GERD or ulcer) could have ulcer as there's also burning sensation. My anal sphincter is working!I usually take white rice, vegetables- broccoli, cabbage, etc, steamed fish with garnish like ginger and tomato or those frozen chicken w preservatives.Even if these foods cause gas, I don't understand why my butt constantly leaks ****s just like that everytime there's movement in walking/train/busesO.O... Are there any alternative food ways to reduce gas?Unregistered- I totally understand...even the slightest constant ****s leakage will cause people to stare at you like you're a sinner! I have to avoid taking trains and crowded buses now. Anyway life goes on...we'll go thru it together! Don't give up..keep finding a solution.Do you use lots of enema? Do you have a lot of gas within or have you went for a checkup on your internal & external anal spincter? Have you gone to see a specialist?

Have you gone to see a specialist? You might be extremly intolerant to Calcium and Vitamin B complex. I recommend an Oriental Medicine Practitioner who works with NAET. Make sure this person is NAET certified (naet.com).Hemmorhoids are also sign of 'allergies' - swelling in the colon just like swelling of the face or tongue is a sign of rejection. So if you have hemmorhoids it means that you are reacting to some particular food, aminoacid, protein, mineral or essential nutrient.NAET helps people figure ot what to avoid eating while every treatment clears (reverses) the intolerance.Best.

  • Please do not take this the wrong way: Are you sure the smell comes from below? The digestive tract has 2 ends. You say you have stomach rumbling. How is your dental? There are pills you can take to make your digestive tract "smell" better. I think it is parsley. Try this easy fix from a health food store. It would be a small cost for an experiment that might improve your situation.

  • Hi Eatafruit,do you have specific links on vitamin B complex and calcium intolerance? My haemmoroids actually came when I kept straining my bowels due to constipation.Thank you so much..will check out for NAET!Hi Unregistered, I do have dental problem-like abrasive teeth and possibly gingivitis, could it actually cause stomach health like ulcer?I'm sure it comes from bottom as I usually try to shut my mouth as much as possible. And it's weird even if I "clear" my rectum, it smells like a nicer drain that's all. Thank you for your advice...will try out parsley.I've read many cases of others suffering from this condition and we're still finding a cure! Thank you.

  • Fat malabsorption can produce really smelly poop. Look up fecal incontinence, fat malabsorption, etc. There are also Kegel-type exercises that can firm up the rectal muscles. Don't just tighten your butt muscles. Actually squeeze the sphincter shut. Do this 100 times a day and increase. Don't eat the gas-former vegetables (cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, beans etc). Cut out the sugar. These are the foods that are being broken down into gas. Have Beano with every meal. Don't drink milk. Hope this works.

  • There is a slight possibiblity that it could be Giardia lamblia, an intestinal parasite that produces foul smelling greasy poop, due to fat malabsortion. It also makes you flatulent and have a noisy tummy.

  • It is possible that a specific food is causing your problem, but I think it's more likely you have a condition like irritable bowel syndrome. You can try an elimination diet-- cut out things like rough leafy vegetables, beans, tubers (cabblage, turnips, etc), dairy etc, as a test- and see if there is any change. But to be frank-- your symptoms seem more serious-- I'm going to guess that it's not caused by any specific food. Go to a doctor.

Thank you.lovecolours, I feel your pain, and want you to know you're not the only one with this problem. I have it as well (same symptoms- gas, burning stomach, loose stools, bad ***t odor), and got it the same way you did. It's so bad, that I have no interest in leaving the house or hanging out with my friends. I feel so sorry for my roommate! Regardless, there are a couple of things I've noticed about this problem:1) It gets worse if I'm under a lot of stress, tensed up or if I'm sitting hunched over. It seems as if it gets worse if my upper stomach area is under pressure (could have something to do with the gall bladder). Try sitting straight and try to relax your abdominal muscles as much as you can. I know it seems rediculous, but even I have a hard time, trying to consciously remind myself to relax my stomach. Getting enough sleep helps, too.2) It's not due to giardia. I took a medication called "Alinia" (Nitazoxanide), which is specifically used to treat giardia- except it made matters worse (more gas, more pain, hurting kidneys, etc.). 3) I've found that yogurt helps a little bit, but if you're lactose intolerant, the gas gets worse. Aloe juice helps as well. Drink about 8-12 oz., 2-3 times a day and you'll notice a little bit of a difference. Could help... Someone mentioned drinking a tea, made with a couple of slices of ginger and a half-tablespoon of brown sugar. If anything, the warmth will help relax your stomach.I got a CT scan not too long ago, but am still waiting on the results. I'll try to post again, after I find out what's the matter. In the meantime, hang in there. You're not alone!

  • Not sure if this thread is active or not, but I thought to share up my experience with Domperidone and Ranitidine (Omeperazole doesn't suite me, so I doctor suggested this alternate medicine).

I am actually a patient of Celiac disease since my childhood and doctor has forbidden me starch, wheat, barley, rye for lifetime. My life was spending well until I get into Gastritis 8 yrs. ago. I started using Ranitidine but I feel like it doesn't works well and my condition get more severe. After few years I get into constipation, bloating, abdominal cramp, poor appetite. I was much worried about this as after every few months I lie on bed with severe weakness. It really disturbed my entire life. Somehow after another thorough treatment doctor suggested me with Domperidone. Initially it worked fine but after 2 months I started getting it's side effects. Most of the time I feel abdominal pain which sometimes get severe, anxiety. And then I get into hemorrhoid which scared me a lot.

  • After doing a lot research I have decided to stop taking these Ranitidine and Domperidone. I am now on 3 herbal medicines from 2 weeks and everything is going well. I am spending like a normal life now with regular activities.
