Im17 years old and like about 2 days ago i started feeling like my throat was hurting, so i decided to take a look and a found in the far back left of my mouth and real big white patch and it was also bleeding too. so i cleaned it up with a q tip with listerine. However things got worst because i feel my throat extra swollen and its hard to talk or swallow.

  • strep throat? If you still go to a pediatrician they will probably have the rapid-strep lab tests on hand. Maybe an urgent care facility or your doc?

  • There is Mumps going around- so you might not have a fever because you most likely got vaccinated and your immune system does not know what to do.I am calling the CDC.Take Oil of Oregano ASAP, up to 6 a day for a week. Check with a Naturopath for a perfect dosage.Mumps in adults is no joke.Take as much vitamin C as you can- it won't overdose you, it will send you to the bathroom before it overdose you. When this happens you have taken enough. It is called 'bowel tolerance'- Take supplements and stay hydrated. The doctors won't believe it- but you must go and let them have a look.

  • Have you had a recent vaccine? Have you had a recent severe illness, like a flu?. Have you recently been involved in a severe trauma? like car accident or an emotional trauma?Sounds like silly questions, I know, but it is all related. MC

  • Please do see a doctor. If you don't have a primary doctor, you could go to the urgent care. I'd try going early, before they get so backed up. I can't tell if the site is in your tonsil or not, but you need to be checked for strep throat. Some people even get an abscess when they get strep throat if they don't get proper treatment.
